Transformation Program Manager

The Technology Transformation vision and scope is to evolve organisational capabilities that enable and empower teams to continuously provide the highest value to customers at an ever-increasing pace.  As the Transformation Program Manager, your role is to orchestrate the large and complex Transformation program across Technology portfolios.  You will have a passion for new ways of working, lean and agile methods, and for continually evolving the Coles operating model for delivery of greater value to customers.  An appreciation for the cultural and behaviour change elements related to transformation activities will be a valuable asset.

You will be responsible for the management and representation of the program at the various governance forums to ensure all parties are kept up to date of risks, dependencies and overarching program status.

 

Finally, you will successfully create and sustain a positive culture, acknowledging effort and celebrating success, including establishing processes for regular recognition and celebration.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, highlighting program risk profiles and interdependencies
  • Ensure structured and disciplined program operating rhythm & cadence including effective program and team backlog, planning and delivery management to support the multi-disciplinary teams
  • Manage program roadmap and execution sequencing. Proving a single point of truth for status and progress and ensuring visibility and interventions for variations to plan. 
  • Manage tracking and reporting of transformation metrics
  • Working collaboratively with the Program Sponsor to ensure alignment to Transformation outcomes 
  • Co-ordinate and manage regular Steering Committee meeting with senior stakeholders
  • Manage work effort and expectation across the Technology GM’s and their direct reports
  • Be accountable for individual and team compliance with company values, policies and procedures (including Coles Code of Conduct) and all applicable external laws and regulations.

 

Good things you’ll need

  • 7+ years experience in delivering large Agile programs of work
  • Proven ability to manage complex Program Scheduling, Financial and Resource Management, Change Control, Risk Issues and Assumptions Management, Status Reporting, Documentation and Deliverable Management
  • Experience in building and leading large Agile project teams
  • Working with and reporting to Directors and GM’s
  • High level retail industry knowledge and experience (preferred not essential)
