About the Role
We are seeking a suitably qualified Executive Officer to join us is the office of the Vice-Chancellor. In this integral front of house position, you will provide support to the Chief of Staff, Vice-Chancellor and the office of the Vice-Chancellor and undertake data analysis, research and writing a range of reports and communications. You will also play a role in providing reliable, confidential and coordinated administrative support to the Chief of Staff that supports the services that underpin the Vice-Chancellor’s office and its relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Success in the role requires a self-starter who understands how to positively influence internal and external stakeholders and outcomes, the ability to manage multiple projects within tight timeframes, excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships. Innovative thinking and a capacity to develop solutions from the clients’ perspectives is are highly valued.
As a natural collaborator, you will work closely with other staff within the Office of the Vice Chancellor and the broader University community. This is a challenging role for a talented professional who wants to work for a youthful, challenger university in a critical role and office.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
· Extensive experience in a high-level administrative role, which required planning and management functions to support senior management
· Well-developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret policies and procedures within a complex and sensitive environment.
· Demonstrated experience in successfully dealing with staff at all levels within an organisation, across a diverse range of areas
· Proven high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and relationship management skills
Qualifications
A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
