About the Role

Support 3 people between the ages of 30 to 70 with disability living in Support Independent Living in Mascot.

You will be passionate about provide active support including assisting with daily exercise programs and have previous experience in personal care and manual handling.

This is a permanent part time position of 37 hours per fortnight, the successful candidate must be able to work the set roster below:

  • Week 1: Wed 2:30-7pm, Sat 3-11pm and Sun 2-9pm
  • Week 2: Tue 6-10am, Wed 2:30-7pm, Thu 6-10am and Sat 10am-3pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care
  • Assist with mobility by lifting, transferring and hoisting clients
  • Follow person-centred and behaviour support plans
  • Support clients in achieving their chosen goals
  • Track and document clients changing needs
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, families and teams

Skills & Experience

  • Experience and confidence in providing personal care
  • Manual handling experience
  • Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
