About the Role 
The Program Coordinator role at Swinburne University of Technology Health & Wellbeing area is a key position within the Swinburne Health Services team, responsible for coordinating health promotion events, educational workshops, and activities to support students in addressing challenges, improving wellbeing, community engagement, and academic performance. Reporting to the Associate Director of Swinburne Health Service, the Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the University's commitment to student retention and successful completion of studies. Acting as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders, the Coordinator will provide administrative support for activities, events, and workshops, including preparing attendee lists, organizing staff participation, ensuring resources availability, and compiling evaluations and reports.

The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced provider of strengths-based support services and a skilled communicator with the ability to build rapport with students. They will be passionate about promoting positive health and wellbeing, reducing stigma associated with mental health, and establishing sustainable preventative programs for students. The successful candidate will have a proactive approach to their work, enjoy engaging with people, and possess the desire to assist students in gaining the skills they need to cope with challenges and thrive in their academic and personal lives.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 
  • Demonstrated project Management and coordinator experience
  • Experience in organizing and coordinating activities, events, workshops
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse background
  • High level of attention to detail and creativity

Qualifications
  • Qualified Social Worker, Registered Nurse or Community Health Nurse, or Health Professional
  • Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a nurse/psychologist; or 
  • Full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
