About Swan View
Swan View is transitional accommodation providing safe, secure, comprehensive, culturally appropriate and flexible support for up to 12 months. Support is based upon the individual needs of people with a mental illness with input from their families and/or carers. The service will support participants in transitioning to the NDIS and finding suitable long-term sustainable housing and support.
The Role
The Senior Support Worker is responsible for supervising the support of up to 3 adults who are experiencing significant complex mental health challenges.
The Senior Support Worker will promote positive mental health by supporting those in our service through involvement in delivering safe services, encouraging recovery and individual creativity, and embracing a holistic approach to wellness. Reporting to the Program Manager of Mental Health, this role has oversight of the direct care services to clients, training, supervision of the team, and monitoring of the program's performance and effectiveness.
This role is part-time (72 hours a fortnight) until August 2024. The hours are 07:00-17:00 4 days per week. The days are flexible but the shift times are non-negotiable to ensure the Senior Support Worker can attend both handovers. The hourly rate is a level 3.1 SCHADS award (starting at $34.04).
