About you

We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to trade unionism and community engagement. If you have considerable experience in union or community organising and recruitment, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit, we want to hear from you.

About the role

We're seeking to employ two (2) suitably qualified and experienced Industrial Officers for our NSW Division located in Surry Hills. Both positions are full-time ongoing and available immediately. The Industrial Officer position, whilst based in Sydney, does require some travel.

As part of our team, you'll play a vital role in

  • Managing a case load, which involves representing, advising, and advocating for members on workplace issues and disputes with managers.
  • Providing advocacy and preparing applications, submissions, and evidence for matters before the Fair Work Commission, industrial tribunals, and Courts.
  • Offering high-level technical support and leading major Enterprise Bargaining negotiations.
  • Providing advice on workplace and industry-wide industrial matters.
