As our Fire & Emergency Preparedness Manager within the Security Department, reporting to the Senior Manager, Development and Capability, you will be responsible for all regulatory, statutory, and compliance-based requirements being met in relation to Emergency Preparedness Training and Evacuation within the scope of The Star Sydney property, The Star Sydney - Emergency Control Organisation, team members and guests.

A few of your responsibilities:??? 

  • Review and Maintain Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) Membership Register as directed by the EPC and in adherence to guidance provided in AS3745.
  • Undertake an Annual Review of The Star Sydney Emergency Management Plan, with recommended changes being presented to the EPC.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Property Tenants in relation to emergency preparedness, response, and training requirements.
  • Monitor for local, national, and global threat and incident trends related to emergency management which may impact The Star Syndey. Provide relevant information, advice and guidance as required.
  • Conduct, coordinate and/or administer all internal site-specific Emergency Preparedness training and administration requirements in accordance with all relevant statutory, regulatory and standards in support of The Star Sydney’s Emergency Control Organisation, Asset Protection and other business units as directed by The Senior Manager Development and Capability.
  • Conduct, coordinate/administer and assess all new relevant personnel in relation to Emergency Preparedness, Management & Response.

What we are looking for:?? 

  • Industry experience relevant to the role with sound working knowledge of AS3745 AS1851 AS1670 AS2118
  • Experience with Emergency Response methodology and practice, Emergency Related Systems and Alarms and Emergency Related Infrastructure & Equipment
  • Managing and Leading Emergency Response
  • Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Current Security License Class 1A 2AD
