About the role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will partner with senior leaders in our Child, Youth and Family (CYF) services to ensure financial sustainability and robust governance. You will provide financial expertise, insight, analysis and leadership to enable CYF to make timely, meaningful and effective financial decisions and deliver key commercial outcomes.

You will embed strong relationships with stakeholders and lead a driven, professional and customer focused team that will enable and support CYF senior leaders to make and implement financial decisions that achieve their strategic and operational business plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive - CYF to: develop and implement strategic and operational business plans in alignment with LWB and CYF strategy and purpose; develop and implement a culture of service excellence and embedding standards, behaviours and strategies for challenging the status quo and lasting improvements and efficiencies.
  • Leadership of a team to partner with senior leaders in CYF to enable timely, meaningful and effective financial decisions and delivery of key commercial outcomes.
  • Provision of high-level financial information, analysis and insight that demonstrates a thorough understanding of, and contribution to, the achievement of the CYF’s objectives.
  • Supporting the overall budget, forecast and medium term financial planning processes and outcomes for LWB and CYF as driven by the Financial Planning and Analysis function
  • Delivery of financial and commercial reporting for CYF via improved data and technology solutions
  • Designing solutions that leverage key technologies i.e. data visualistion, to deliver timely and accurate financial information
  • Financial data & process integrity and compliance

Qualifications & experience required

  • Tertiary level qualifications in business, commerce, management or relevant field. CA, CPA or equivalent
  • The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Senior Finance leadership role within an organisation with a complex, demanding and dynamic funding environment.
  • Experience managing a team of finance professionals, fostering effective teams focussed on achieving team goals.
  • Ability to manage a broad range of organisational financial and information systems.
  • Advanced and proven problem-solving skills, and ability to think laterally and strategically.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
