About the role

The purpose of the NISS Program Implementation and Support Lead position is to project manage key strategic project/s across NISS, while undertaking actions and activities to progress towards project completion. The position is responsible for delivering these projects in an efficient and effective manner, achieving the outcomes required in consultation with key stakeholders to enhance the quality of client services and outcomes.

This position is being offered as 12 months, max-term position and can be based at our offices in Sunshine, VIC or Parramatta, NSW.

Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage the development, planning, execution and delivery of nominated projects in NISS utilising project management systems, tools and change management frameworks
  • Successfully manage the overall delivery and implementation of the projects through contribution to and/or undertaking actions and activities to ensure the successful implementation and overall delivery of the project
  • Monitor, review and improve models, toolkits, and templates to address Governance, Reporting, Deployment Management, and overall program/project management best practices in support of an agile environment and approach. 
  • Provide NISS program/project management coaching and mentoring to NISS staff
  • Actively contribute to discussions to create, explore, improve, and implement ideas, projects and plans, for example Post Implementation Reviews

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Human Services, Business, Project Management, or similar areas
  • Demonstrated end-to-end project management experience in high demand environments
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of the operational environment in which the role is within or supports
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering positive project outcomes and engaging stakeholders
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders including executives, staff at all levels, government agencies or other external groups
  • Strong business and financial acumen and the ability to synthesis large amounts of complex information quickly into simple to understand messages
  • Solid understanding of risk management principles

 

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
