  • Earn up to $85,967 with a base salary of $59,825 plus penalty rates and overtime 
  • $5k sign-on bonus and up to $10k relocation assistance available
  • Annual salary increases, 5 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks personal leave and provisions for study leave 
  • 41 days paid full-time training 
  • Complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Adult Custodial)

About you

Every person has the potential to make a good prison officer. We’re after team players with great communication skills who are motivated to see people succeed. 

Whatever work background you’re from – retail, hospitality, administration, construction, education, healthcare, manufacturing or community services (to name a few) - your experience has already set you up to succeed in this role. 

You need to be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold Australian permanent residency, and you must hold a current minimum P2 driving licence.

If you're keen on a move to metro or country Victoria and are offered an ongoing role, you may be eligible for reimbursement of up to $10,000 to help with costs like travel, freight, temporary housing and storage. Talk to our recruitment team about how this support may apply to you.

Please note that the below prisons are currently at capacity. If you wish to apply for these facilities, we will place you in our candidate pool ready for placement once positions become available. We can also suggest another location that is appropriate to you.
