About the Child, Youth and Family (CYF) Program
LWB delivers a range of services for children, young people and their families, throughout Australia. We use Cornell Universitys Children and Residential Experience (CARE) model of practice to guide our work. Through ongoing training and support we use this model of practice to equip carers and staff to support children in a way that creates conditions for positive change.

About the Role
Due to the expansion of our services, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced House Manager to join our Residential Care team in Melbourne. The House Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential services and will initially be based in Glen Waverley; however this may change to other areas of Melbourne. The successful candidate will be flexible regarding travel. LWB can also make reasonable adjustments to accommodate additional travel, depending on the successful candidates home location.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will mentor a team of Residential Support Workers, providing purposeful support to young people with high and complex needs in residential care. The objective is to enhance the lives of young individuals in a 24/7 residential setting, incorporating a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach in daily operations and programming. Emphasis is placed on leading the team to establish a secure base for young people within the home, coordinating with culturally appropriate services, and facilitating opportunities for the young individuals to connect with their identified culture.
This role involves hands-on work, with the majority of time spent on-site in the home and one day per week in the Sunshine office. The position is offered as a permanent, full-time role with salary packaging benefits. Whilst the role will primarily be Mon-Fri, it involves work outside of business hours that may include afternoons and weekend shifts from time to time.
