About the Role
Become a pivotal member of the Property Division at Life Without Barriers, where you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of residential properties that is Nationwide. In this role, you will work closely with, Life Without Barriers Operations Team, Agency Property Managers, Housing Providers, and Government Agencies, focusing on our collaborative efforts rather than direct engagement with tenants or landlords.

As the successful candidate, you will be an essential part of our well-established and innovative work environment, benefiting from strong leadership within the Property Management team. This is a permanent full-time position, providing a structured Monday to Friday schedule without any weekend obligations. Our organisation prioritises a healthy work-life balance and is open to discussing flexible hybrid work arrangements during the interview process.

This role offers the flexibility to work from your preferred location, whether that is your home or from an LWB office located in Newcastle or Gosford. There will be occasions when you will be expected to work from the office. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of residential properties nationwide.
  • Manage critical lease administration tasks, including property database oversight, payment processing, and regulatory compliance duties.
  • Conduct property searches and proactively apply for new residential properties, employing innovative solutions to address the ongoing rental crisis.
  • Aid in the facilitation of lease renewals and new agreements in collaboration with Life Without Barriers, Agency Property Managers and Government Agencies.
  • Ensure meticulous execution and recording of all leases and requisite documentation in the Property Management System.
  • Management of the termination and vacating process for residential properties.
  • Take charge of specific projects as necessary.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with Agency Property Managers, Housing Providers & Government Agencies.

Skills & Experience

  •  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with adept interpersonal abilities, enabling effective relationship building with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated expertise in comprehensive end-to-end residential Property Management, showcasing comprehensive understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity for innovative thinking and effective problem-solving, contributing to creative solutions beyond traditional approaches.
  • An enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable attitude and a team player that has the ability to work effectively unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Current driver's licence

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
