About the Role 
Join our team at Swinburne University as the Manager of Graduations, Fees, and Scholarships! Reporting to the Deputy Director of Enrolment & Graduation Services, this role oversees the day-to-day operations of two university-wide functional units: the Graduations Unit and the Fees and Scholarships team. Located in the Department of Student Administration, you will work closely with the Registrar and the Student Administration leadership team, and be responsible for staff management, process improvements, and ensuring excellent service delivery.

As the Manager, you will build strong relationships with various departments within the University, including the Office of DVC/s, Swinburne International, Marketing Services, Finance, and more. You will play a key role in planning and coordinating important activities and events, monitoring team performance, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver best practice services.

Stay ahead of compliance responsibilities related to student fees, scholarships, and graduation services, and lead the implementation of innovative systems and technologies to enhance the student experience. Utilize data analysis and feedback to drive continuous improvement and provide coaching and mentoring to your team.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Demonstrated experience in the planning and management of higher education/VE/Foundation and Pathways administration, preferably in relation to Graduations, Fees and Scholarships, and enquiry management.
  • Knowledge of the Higher Education, VE, Foundation and Pathways legislative environment.
  • Demonstrated high level analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, particularly in developing innovative solutions to problems/issues, in customer service environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate and make informed decisions regarding complex issues within a short timeframe.
  • Experience in managing staff and holding people accountable for performance.

 

Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge or training equivalent to: - postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or - extensive experience and management expertise; or - an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
