Join our team as Safety and Security Supervisor at The Star Brisbane.?? 

The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.? 

The Safety and Security Supervisor, reporting to the Safety and Security Duty Manager will support security management and supervise the operational functions of the Security Department ensuring an effective, efficient and professional operation of the security function. 

A few of your responsibilities?? 

  • Supervise Security operations to ensure compliance with all Federal and State statutory requirements and company policy and procedures within the work environment.? 

  • Assist with the completion of monthly audits and investigations on any compliance breaches relating to systems control, WH&S and administration.? 

  • Attend to gaming disputes and supervise incidents and re-entries of excluded persons.? 

  • Supervise team members and complete all people planning requirements including, training and development and performance management. 

  • Respond to fire and emergency alarms and assist with the investigation of all incidents. 

What we will be looking for?

  • Previous Security experience within an integrated casino resort environment 

  • Demonstrated experience within the Security industry 

  • Current First Aid and RSA Certificates 

  • Current QLD Security license or Certificate II in Security Operations 

  • Demonstrated experience in leading Security teams

You will be an experienced Security operator with a demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing people. With experience in controlling labour costs as well as operating expenses, you will understand the importance of leading by example and encouraging open communication throughout the team and key stakeholders.?
