The Casino Cashier role reports directly to the Cash Services Supervisor and is responsible for greeting guests and providing high-quality services for gaming related transactions. Exceptional Customer Service is at the forefront of this role as well as the opportunity for you to put your skills and knowledge to the test and upskill in multiple areas of Cage Operations.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Maintain a customer focus in all transactions, ensuring that service delivery is timely, effective and efficient and that it meets both the customer’s needs and service standards.
  • Handle all customer queries and complaints with diplomacy and tact and refer all problems together with regular and informative feedback to the Cash Services Supervisor.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of the Star City complex, amenities, local services and surrounding attractions and promote effective communication by ensuring that all co-workers maintain the same level of knowledge.
  • Participate in all pre/post shift briefings to assist with a smooth transition and handover between shifts, thereby avoiding interruption to or jeopardising the quality of service.
  • As directed, liaise with the Casino Liquor and Gaming Control Authority, government regulatory and statutory authorities.

What are we looking for:

  • Experience with high volume cash handling
  • Working knowledge of domestic and international banking requirements
  • Exposure to a casino and/or gaming environment desirable.
  • Understanding of relevant statutory and reporting requirements.
