About the Role
Swinburne is embarking on an exciting journey, working towards our new vision of bringing people and technology together to build a better world. In support of our student engagement and retention objectives, we have an exciting opportunity for a digitally-led communications professional to join the Student Engagement & Retention Journey Squad as Communications Specialist.

With strong campaign management skills and a ‘get it done’ attitude, you’ll join a team of fellow comms, content and web dynamos to build out end-to-end customer journeys for key current student audience segments, contributing to our student engagement and retention goals.

You’ll collaborate within the team and with stakeholders across the university to plan, prepare, execute and optimise campaigns across multiple channels to different student cohorts. And with a focus on continuous growth and improvement, you’ll strengthen your understanding and application of the Adobe Experience Cloud.

About you
  • You’ve got plenty of experience executing communications campaigns across multiple channels.
  • You juggle priorities, deadlines and stakeholders like a pro.
  • You take pride in your work; you’re meticulous with your planning, and execute with care, when preparing and delivering your communications campaigns.
  • You don’t break a sweat when asked to produce a comms plan, work on audience data segmentation, and plan dynamic content to personalise communications.
  • You adopt a customer-centric approach that considers the overall user journey when planning out campaign activity.
  • You’re a savvy user of data to inform decision making and to optimise campaigns.
  • You’re comfortable writing and editing copy for a range of tactics, and when reviewing supplied copy you know exactly when it’s nailed the brief.
  • You have experience using email marketing software to execute campaigns, ideally Adobe Campaign Standard but equivalent platforms are fine if you have the propensity to learn new systems.
