In 1882 our beloved Albion was constructed on the corner of George and Harris st. In 1924 the original site was demolished and replaced with a new hotel, The Albion was once fondly known as "Albie's'" down by Gasworks bridge to the locals and has always been a favourite watering hole for the Parramatta community.

In 1986 the Solomon family acquired the Albion and have built it into what is it today. With a couple of minor facelifts along the way, The Albion is now a sun-drenched beer garden by day and a booming nightclub by night. If only walls could talk, we know that this old girl would have many stories to tell.

With multiple facets under one roof,  the Albion has something for everyone.  From our thriving bistro and VIP gaming room, to our large sports bar & nightclub after dark – this is an exciting venue where our patrons can create memorable moments! 

The Role

As General Manager, you will be at the helm of The Albion and be responsible for the overall management and performance of the venue.  With the pub playing host to a number of facets, you will be hands on across driving multiple operations including the Bistro, VIP Gaming Room, Nightclub, Functions and Sports Bar.
  
Your role will involve all of the venue essentials including overseeing the daily operations, driving venue profitability, overseeing venue financials, budgets & forecasting, partnering with marketing on new promotions and activations, compliance, developing the team, hiring staff, rostering and ensuring the guest experience is memorable to our patrons every time.
  
Due to the late night component of this venue, proven experience managing high volume venues or nightclubs with a focus on compliance and licensing would be desired. This is a fantastic opportunity, to lead one of Solotel’s larger multi-faceted venues and carry on our incredible team culture.
