About the role:

Join Box Hill Institute in this unique and exciting role as our Book Groups Program Support Officer based at our City Campus!

Within this role you will be ensuring the successful day-day customer service and administration of our Book Groups program which forms part of our broader Short Courses team. Our Book Groups program has over 5000 members; many of whom you will be liaising with regularly (as well as our internal staff) and providing responses to their enquiries.

You will also be responsible for organising the daily dispatch information for our warehouse team where the books are sent to a number of Book Groups across the country! Your role ensures fair and considered distrubtion of books and eBooks to Book Group members and maintains a database of inventory tracking- including lost and missing books.

This is a unique role for someone who is passionate about reading and has administration/customer service experience. The role forms part of the Box Hill Institute Centre for Adult Education (CAE) organisation and is an ongoing opportunity!

This opportunity is fixed term until December 2024 and salary is PACCT 3 $56,592 per annum (exclusive of superannuation).


About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a program support role and/or a strong administration/customer service background
  • Interest/passion for reading novels (you will be selecting novels to be added to our program!) Ability to discuss books with staff, customers and industry contacts
  • Ability to use common software applications and effectively utilise technology to manage workload and coordinate information
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • High level communication and customer service skills; listen to customers and provide high quality outcomes
