As our Management Accountant, reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager you will deliver high quality, customer service-oriented general accounting services for The Star Entertainment Group ensuring delivery to deadlines and compliance with Group policies.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will work closely with the Management Accountant Senior team and be across gaming, hospitality and corporate departments.

 

A few of your responsibilities

 

  • Perform management accounting services for the property/function including journal preparation, accrual reviews, cost allocations, assist with month end GL close and monthly management reporting and business support.
  • Champion collaboration and operating rhythm between all finance support for the group, and support effective communication and accountability between Accounting Services, FP&A and the Commercial Manager groups to achieve finance objectives
  • Actively collaborate with Financial Accountants and the broader Group Finance function for all aspects of month end, group reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure month end close and reported numbers are accurate and complete, and presented consistently in reporting across the group.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to achieve alignment, standardisation and excellence in reporting and analysis.

 

What we are looking for

 

  • Strong numeracy and communication skills, with a proven track record of meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting
  • Over 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role coupled with a CA/CPA qualification
  • Proficient in MS Excel with advanced skills, along with experience using large ERP systems such as Oracle and TM1
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and surpassing set KPIs and targets
