About the Role 
We are currently seeking a Resource Management Librarian to join our Library Discovery team at Swinburne. You will play a key role in the team and work to catalogue, describe, and provide access to the broad range of physical, licensed digital, open access and published repository resources to support teaching, learning and research at Swinburne.

As the Resource Management Librarian, you will supervise staff from the Library Discovery team and keep up to date with developments and initiatives in the field including new standards and technologies, and will make recommendations on their implementation and use to achieve best practice outcomes. You will develop a range of regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports to track performance and will analyse data to solve problems and develop and implement new solutions and innovative ideas to improve discovery.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 
  • Experience in a senior role leading innovative and customer-centric library, scholarly information, scholarly publishing, digital information services, or related environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-level planning, implementation and operation of digital publishing and/or digital discovery environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategy, policy, procedures, governance and standards in information management in large and complex organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience in building partnerships, complex stakeholder management, and driving and negotiating innovation and change.

Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, extensive management experience and proven management expertise, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
