About the Role 
Are you passionate about shaping the future of education through innovative teaching and research excellence? Swinburne University is seeking a Lecturer in Educational Futures to join our Learning Transformations unit. 

In this role, you will carry out activities to develop your scholarly, research and professional expertise. You will assist in developing a strong pedagogical base for the Education Strategy in a technology-rich learning and teaching ecosystem and be expected to teach effectively in contemporary learning environments, including within the Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching.  

This position requires high levels of collaboration with educators including academics and VET teachers, senior staff, and committees to contribute to developing innovative approaches to learning and teaching in pursuit of Swinburne’s 2025 vision. You will participate in activities that will develop closer and stronger links with other universities, industry, and the profession, both nationally and internationally. 

Applications from candidates with experience in any or all of the following are of particular interest: genAI, assessment, and conducting evaluation of educational innovations.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 
  • Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching, including a record of coordination, teaching, curriculum development, and delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to support high quality teaching and professional learning programs in a variety of delivery modes which respond to a diverse range of student and staff needs.
  • An emerging track record of research or scholarship, including contributions and outputs relating to learning and teaching innovations and the scholarship of teaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate projects and experience in achieving high quality project outcomes including reports.
  • Demonstrated involvement with professional associations, relevant organisations and learning and teaching communities is preferred. 

Qualifications
  • An earned doctoral qualification in a relevant field.
