About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Student Experience at Swinburne College.
In partnership with UP Education, we have established Swinburne College to offer foundation and pathway programs for both international and domestic students. These programs, including Foundation Year, UniLink diplomas, and ELICOS, are designed to help students meet university entry requirements, transition to higher education, and enhance English language proficiency.
As the Director of Student Experience and Support at Swinburne College, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of pathway students. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the College Hub, collaborating with teaching staff to provide tailored support and interventions, and working with College managers to develop strategic plans for student success, retention, and transition. Additionally, you will be involved in delivering professional development opportunities for teaching staff to enhance student learning outcomes.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who can adapt and implement support services to meet the diverse needs of our learners, teaching staff, and clients across certificate and diploma levels. About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Experience in providing support to students in post-secondary pathway programs
- Demonstrated understanding of successful approaches to teaching international students particularly ELICOS or second language students
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs and supports for domestic students in pre-bachelor pathways
- Demonstrated ability to foster and promote an inclusive, customised and safe learning environment and provide support and advice to a diverse range of learners and clients
