About the job
This role will be a critical member of the clinical team, delivering high quality care, running nurse-lead clinics and contributing to multi-disciplinary patient care. Reporting to the Medical Practice Manager, the clinical care team, you will also be involved in mentoring of student nurses on placement.

The Wellbeing at Swinburne team delivers high quality, comprehensive and integrated primary care by engaging a diverse range of health professionals and service providers committed to working together to deliver the best health outcomes for the Swinburne community. As our new Registered Nurse, you will be expected to provide high-level clinical support in emergency and clinical care, nursing assistance to the medical practitioners and to participate in health education health promotion.

It is integral that the successful incumbent will be clinical solutions focused, have a high level of shared accountability, critical thinking and resilience.
Please note, the incumbent is required to be flexible in hours to cover practice working hours, which are 08:00am to 6:00pm.

This position is currently located at the Hawthorn campus but the incumbent will be required to undertake duties at the University's other campuses of Croydon and Wantirna – on a rotating roster. Thus, the incumbent must be willing to travel between campuses and work at a range of locations.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse Div. 1
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in GP Clinic
• Excellent triage and clinical assessment / treatment skills including emergency first aid / procedures and drug administration
