Located in within the Department of Health Professions, this Lecturer position is an ongoing, full-time position (a fractional appointment will be considered).

As our new Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy (Cardiorespiratory) you will demonstrate a passion to lead, innovate and embrace diversity, to enrich the opportunities of colleagues and students in the delivery of the new Master of Physiotherapy to be offered by the School of Health Sciences in the Faculty of Health, Arts and Design.

Significant contribution is expected to develop and progress an active research profile and promote professional activities aligned to the strategic direction of the Faculty and University. The position is expected to contribute to research activities in the School of Health Sciences.

You will provide a strong commitment to curriculum development and academic teaching in Physiotherapy in the new Master of Physiotherapy to be offered by the School of Health Sciences in the Faculty of Health, Arts and Design.

It is expected you will carry out educational and curriculum development of both online and blended learning materials and assessments. In addition, the appointee will facilitate the overall convenorship of units within the program, including teaching and marking assessments. The Senior Lecturer incumbent will convene and teach postgraduate units, and develop and manage industry partnerships.

The incumbent will be expected to function as a member of both discipline-based and interdisciplinary teams in order to help the faculty to achieve its objectives.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • A Doctorate in a Physiotherapy discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in a strength core area of Physiotherapy (Cardiorespiratory)
  • Active in the Physiotherapy profession as evidenced by professional service and clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated high standard of interpersonal and communication skills, including resourcefulness, initiative and the ability to meet tight deadlines
