About The Role

This role sits within the Institutional domain which delivers full end-to-end world class products and services to our global Institutional, Corporate and Commercial and Retail customers across Asia. It incorporates capabilities across areas of Investment Banking, Trading and Sales, Cash Management, Wholesale Lending and Trade Finance and with a single view of a customer to better integrate business and technology in creating a seamless customer experience. The domain leads digital transformation in areas such as trade and supply chain management to create a seamless customer experience.

The G20 commitment to improve transparency and robustness of OTC markets is leading to a series of market reforms being proposed globally – led by Dodd Frank & Volcker in the US and MiFID II in Europe. The regulatory landscape is ever changing. Currently the Global Markets are undergoing through major reform to transition away from the longstanding London Interbank Offer Rate (LIBOR) to alternative overnight risk-free rates (RFRs). Therefore, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Java engineer to work collaboratively with the ANZ Institutional business in a fast-paced environment to ensure the transition journey is smooth and seamless.

You will ideally be well-versed in both technology and capital markets business domain.

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring the following:

• Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate
• Strong understanding of Design Patterns and ability to write clean & testable code
• Self-starter and ability to work collaboratively in a highly autonomous squad team environment delivering values & wins to our customers at speed
• Meticulous, excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

The following are highly regarded:

• Financial Products knowledge especially in the entire FICC spectrum
• Relevant OTC Regulatory Reporting experience
