Role Overview
Market Risk Technology SquadOur squad resides in the Fixed Income, Derivatives and Market Risk Tech Area within ANZs Institutional bank. Our squad is responsible for providing normalised and aggregated data to our clients.
This role requires an experienced engineer to be involved in the development and support of the Market Risk infrastructure for the banks Benchmark Transition Project.
Benchmark Transition cover to migration to new risk free rates as part of the move away from LIBOR and will have many potential impacts upon Market Risk and the technology we use to manage it.

- who will develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders to ensure that all system requirements are developed and implemented with the customer in mind

Your responsibilities:- Understand the needs of the Benchmark Transition Project and how they impact the existing Market Risk infrastructure.
- Independently drive change through to production to support the Benchmark Project as necessary.
- Assist the business in bringing new data sets together in order to facilitate impact analysis.
- Drive continuous improvements of the system, development practice and processes.
- Review all deliverables to ensure quality and conformance to standards.
- Extraction of data and understanding of how to leverage the data to create value and respond to customer requirements for information.
People skills- Have good communication skills and are able to work effectively with colleagues located both onshore and offshore.
- Work closely with developers, business and project managers from other teams or projects.
- Excellent telephone consulting skills to gather requirements.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience - several years development experience in Java and C# essential
- has the experience on distributed system design
- experience consuming and producing integration endpoints (services, message queues)
- solid understanding of end-to-end behaviour of enterprise applications, from front end through to database, authentication and access control
- practical experience with one of the RDMS system (MS SQL, MySQL)
- data ETL (Extra-Transform-Load) experience is a plus
- experience in the financial industry, markets would be highly regarded; alternatively experience in working with various big data tools
- experienced with tools such as Git, Maven, JIRA, Confluence and test driven methodologies
