About The Role

Role Location: 839 Collins St, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type: 6 months fixed-term; Full-time
 

As the Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Governance team with BAU and various payroll initiatives.  This is not a data entry/payroll processing role.  You will provide Payroll subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service to our employees.

 
Your key accountabilities will include: 
  • Ensuring the accuracy of payroll activities
  • Supporting & driving customer satisfaction by resolving complex payroll escalations and putting processes in place to avoid future occurrences
  • Processing post finalisation activities such as superannuation, 3rd party disbursements and Centrelink paid parental leave payments
  • Managing the generic payroll mailbox
  • Supporting the testing and implementation of legislative payroll changes 

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

  • A strong understanding of payroll industry best practice
  • Excellent knowledge of a large ERP/Payroll system (Peoplesoft would be an advantage)
  • Strong technical payroll ability and understanding of the change management process
  • Proven ability to work within a team while supporting and coaching onshore & offshore teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with the ability to identify risks, possible solutions, and corrective actions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
