About the Job
As Senior Communications Advisor you are responsible for creating and managing engaging, purposeful multimedia content and communications for the university’s staff, students and external audiences.
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Communications and Media, this is an editorial role that involves developing and implementing strategic communications and media plans that build and protect Swinburne’s reputation as one of Australia’s leading universities.
You will bring your experience and expertise – be it in staff engagement, event management or rich media production – to a dynamic and dedicated communications team.
Your ability to build strong collaborative relationships with professional and academic colleagues will see you contribute to achieving our shared vision for Swinburne as a world-class university creating social and economic impact in science, technology and innovation.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Completion of a tertiary degree with substantial relevant experience in internal communications, PR, media or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in communications strategy and planning.
- Excellent content production and editorial skills and an ability to work under time pressure to produce high quality communications materials.
