About The Role

Financial Crime Threat Management (FCTM) and AML Operations is part of the wider Financial Crime Portfolio (FCP), and is accountable for delivering outcomes in line with FCP strategic objectives. Reporting into Head of AML Operations, AML Operations Lead – Investigations will be part of the AML Operations leadership team.

 

As AML Operations Lead – HRC, ECDD and Escalations, you will be responsible for oversight and management of staff tasked with the identification, escalation and ongoing management of high risk customers. You will also ensure that all process, policy, regulatory and legislative requirements are met for the investigation and management of customers that pose increased AML/CTF and Financial Crime risk to AN., This includes the investigation of activity & behaviour, and subsequent reporting to regulatory authorities where required.

 

This is a high profile position, with global accountability for operations and staff across multiple jurisdictions managing the HRC and AML/CTF risk, including escalation management and reporting for ANZ. A critical role dealing with and providing guidance to key stakeholders, both internal and external to ANZ across multiple countries, with varying legislative and regulatory requirements. The role will deliver strong leadership and operational discipline ensuring quality and performance metrics are met and staff are future ready.

 
About You

To be successful in this role, you have will the following skills, knowledge and experiences:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, all levels of employees and management     
  • Proven analytical, influencing and problem solving skills combined with the ability to identify risks and impacts as well as possible solutions and execute corrective action
  • Highly experienced in managing large operational teams, preferably across multiple jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of banking and finance sector with exposure to financial crime beneficial
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Solid motivation to drive change and support NWOW
