About the College

The STEM College holds a leading position and expertise in the science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and health (STEM) fields. STEM College is a community of exceptional STEM researchers, teachers, inventors, designers and gamechangers, supported by talented professional staff. We offer higher education programs across all STEM disciplines at the Bachelor, Master and PhD levels, and ensure our students experience an education that is work-aligned and life-changing.?? 

STEM College employs 1,000 staff who deliver onshore and offshore programs to approximately 20,000 students.?? 

About You

As the Industry Engagement Senior Officer, you will be responsible for engaging with industry partners and working with them to complete administrative tasks relating to industry engagement within the STEM College. This will include liaison with current and new industry partners, logistical support of events, secretary to Industry Advisory Committees, regular reporting and maintenance of databases.

You will also contribute to continuous improvement within the team and foster a collaborative team culture, proactively supporting team members in busier periods and acting as a first point of contact for administrative queries.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have, but not limited to:

  • Demonstrated communication, relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to work collegiately with academic and professional staff, students, and external clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a demanding high-volume environment with excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Proven project management experience and planning skills to ensure the achievement of project goals, participation targets and semester objectives.
  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to think creatively and exercise in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to quality service delivery and sensitivity regarding confidential communications.

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Police and Working with Children check.
