About The Role

Role Location: 839 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type: 12 month fixed term

 

The Senior Process and Change Manager forms part of the Regulatory Projects Portfolio in Group Risk, working on APRA Prudential Standard APS 220 - Credit Risk Quality Management. This is a delivery role, responsible for designing and embedding the operating model across our global regulatory reporting teams and business readiness activities across all aspects of the project delivery cycle. e.g. current state analysis, design future state processes and controls, operating model re-design, operational risk assessment, impact assessments, change management & overseeing implementation activities. The role will initially provide change management support to implement frontline process changes and overseeing embedding of controls and governance, prior to moving on to mobilise the Regulatory Reporting Operating Model stream.

Your key priorities and responsibilities include:

  • Design future state processes and operating model – considering the end user experience and assurance i.e. process controls to embed sustainable practices
  • Undertake detailed impact and operational risk assessments ensuring all impacts and risks are communicated, understood, with appropriate treatment plans in place and actively managed
  • Prepare business readiness checklists and establish working groups to track progress and escalate delivery risks or issues
  • Prepare detailed change management plans and deliver training programs, ensuring the impacted teams have the knowledge and skills to produce the new regulatory return and adhere to compliant practices in readiness for day 1.
  • Support the business capability teams with communication messages and develop a consistent narrative for the APS 220 program

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 7+ years change management, implementation, project delivery and business process design / engineering experience
  • Strong operational risk management discipline, including designing processes with controls and completing operational risk assessments
  • Experience in designing operating models, documenting new procedures, designing and delivering training programs to ensure teams have the skills and knowledge to perform new tasks
  • Strong analytical skills. Takes a broad perspective, thinks of the end user and looks for opportunities to add value when identifying issues, solving problems / recommending solutions
  • Excellent project planning skills. Is self-motivated to work autonomously ensuring knowledge sharing amongst the team. Has used tools to manage projects effectively – whether it’s a Gantt Chart, Excel, Confluence or something else and proficiency in core tools including Excel/PPT, SharePoint, and MS teams/ Confluence
  • Strong visual, written and verbal communication skills. Clearly and simply represent findings and communicate progress to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to negotiate aligned outcomes, build relationships and work across multiple global teams
  • Basic knowledge or familiarity with finance or regulatory reporting processes &/or impaired asset management policies or processes
  • Demonstrated ability to role model behaviors consistent with ANZ values, New Ways of Leading and Growth Mindset
